AC Shuts off

Central AC unit, DUCANE AC unit.

I hear it power up and then shuts off. Powers up and resets. Auto Air blows warm air. I shut off the unit for a good hour and it came back on blowing cool air.

Any suggestions? Any DIY remedies I can accomplish before I handover my wallet to a contractor? Thanks!

I live in Vegas btw, and its been in the 110's lately. First time this happened with this unit.
