How long should I expect before installation of a system after we have agreed to one?

Holy shit, it's gonna be more than 2 weeks before I have anything installed. Is that a long time or normal? It is getting hot here (probably pertinent info). I am wondering because I may just cancel with them and go with someone else since I feel like I'm going to melt at home.
