I have an XL824 nexia thermostat on the first floor and I installed an XR524 Trane Z-wave thermostat on the second floor. I'd like to be able to use my XL824 as the nexia bridge for the XR524, but the instructions say to hold the bridge within 6 inches of the unit to register it. I can't do that if my bridge is my XL824 installed on the first floor. Any ideas?
