I went all winter with without any problems with my HydroHeat Megatek geothermal (installed 2010). I don't have the "on demand" water heater hooked up because it's been known to destroy compressors. I was heating just fine all winter and when it came to summertime I tried to turn on the AC and immediately got a low suction lockout alert. When the compressor first turns on the pressures start around 70/125 with a subcool of 17.7* and a superheat of 34.3 (high) then it slowly drop over the next 10 minutes to 18/100 or so with a subcool of 7.8 and a superheat of 71.4. I tried to adjust the cooling txv counterclockwise and it didn't make a different, the superheat is still sky high. I followed the liquid line from the heat exchanger and I don't get any big temp changes in the line until the cooling txv. The nut is adjusted all the way out and it appears to still be a big restriction.
