Vintage Gaffers and Sattler's blower motor just went out...possible to replace or should we just replace the whole system?

Hey r/HVAC,

We were just informed the blower motor on our old Gaffers and Sattler system just went out. Pretty sure this is the same unit installed when the house was built in '78.

Our technician indicated getting a motor replacement would be tough, and most likely not a full solution do the age of the wiring and everything else internal.

I know we need to replace the whole system eventually, but I can't image a blower motor replacement would be as difficult as he made it sound...but that's why I'm here!

Any advice is hugely appreciated, gonna be a scorcher this weekend :]
