AC People! Help me figure out how to cool my bedroom please.

Hi There,

I recently rented an apartment in Denver that has this wall unit in the living room. My problem is, no matter how long I run the thing, even for 24 hours straight, it will not cool my bedroom. It does a great job of cooling the living room/kitchen area, but cannot reach the bedroom. My apartment is laid out like this with the wall unit being directly under the window in the living room.

Is there a way that I can cool my bedroom using this unit whatsoever? I've tried running a fan from the living room to the bedroom, installed blackout window screens and curtains to keep sunlight out, tried cracking windows, and nothing helps. It just seems so strange to me that our living room is freezing, but our bedroom is a solid 10 degrees warmer.

Suggestions wanted!
