Hello all, This is a pretty detailed question, so please bear with me! We moved into a house that has pretty bad heating / cooling in a section of the 2nd floor. Realized that its because the contractor who sold us the place did a bad job of it and did not ensure that there was enough air coming in through the duct (looks like it was not part of the original system and was added) that supplies this section. So we added a booster fan to the duct just after the heating and cooling units. I now want to wire the fan to the existing controller board such that it is synced to the main fan (turns on/off whenever the main fan does, both for heating and cooling). Looking at the control panel, I see that the Rh and Rc are shorted. I bought a SPDT switch relay of adequate current and voltage rating. If I connect the C and Rh/Rc terminals across the relay coil, and the fans power cord to the NC (Normally closed) and NO (Normally open) terminals, will I be able to accomplish this? Thanks in advance. Cheers!
