Hi, first off I know next to nothing about air conditioners. I have a Bryant air conditioner that recently broke down on us in the middle of the Texas summer. We had a repair guy come and fix it yesterday, he replaced the capacitor, motor, and fan (cost over $1000!!!). However, an hour after he left, the fans stopped turning but you could still hear the compressor going, we called the guy again and he came over and it started working again after he messed with it, not sure what he did this time. It worked fine until this morning, where we had the same problem: fans were not turning but you could still hear the hum of the AC. I did the "stick test", and confirmed that the fans were still able to move, but could not get it to stay moving so I don't think its the capacitor.I turned it off for an hour and turned it back on and the fans started miraculously turning again, which leads me to think it might be a heating issue? Could I get any thoughts on this?
