My Carrier AC unit recently had a leak of freon on the outside unit and a problem with compressor. The compressor will be professionally replaced Monday along with the leak being fixed. In the mean time my AC guy pulled the breaker (a black piece with some copper connections) out of a breaker box on the outside of my house. This was on Satuday.
He recommended I leave it off to prevent major damage.
He did not mention the interior AC unit which is still blowing air. This air is not cold. On my digital thermometer inside the house I set it to "off." However the unit is still blowing and has been for a day.
I can pull the breaker or shut off power to it if needed. Will I cause any damage by letting it run another 24 hours until the repair is made?
Thank you and Happy Father's Day!
