Hi! I bought a house at the end of last summer, and it came will a wall-mounted AC. Some preliminary googling suggests this model was made in 1974. The thing is ice cold and appears to run smoothly, but it's missing a panel--I've been relying on the previous owner's set of nail polish markings to set the knobs. Figured it was marked for a reason and it's worked fine so far. But I'd like to know what the settings are on the bottom knob. Old ads indicate this model has a "Jet Aire" vent that exchanges stale air with the outside. I would also appreciate any information about how to care for it, maintain it, etc.--I neglected to winterize it, is there anything I should be concerned about? Also, there's bits of black foam between the vents that blow cold air, but they turn to dust when I poke them. What do they do? And how do I replace them?
