My house has an approximately 900 square foot basement that we often use to throw loud parties. To avoid fines for the noise, we have crudely soundproofed it to some extent. The problem is, California's weather usually makes it pretty much unbearably hot down there. Is there a cost-effective way we can install an air conditioning unit or something to keep it nice and cool down there without compromising the soundproofing? We're also planning to further develop the soundproofing system, if that helps at all. We are mostly incapable kids in our 20s so it would be best if the solution didn't involve an absurd amount of craftsmanship. Thought I'd give you kind geniuses a try before we try to do it ourselves and inevitably fuck up somehow... Thanks in advance!
