what is wrong with my Air conditioning circuitry??

a year ago my capacitor on my ac unit failed. the ac unit is very new (4 years old). i replaced my capacitor and today i noticed the house was hot. after opening up the ac panned, i saw the picture linked below. The yellow circle on the top of the image shows a burned out and melted contact, while the other circle shows the red wire that was attached there (also burned and melted). What is going on here? do i need another capacitor? if so, why has my ac had a problem in this short amount of time. As a side note, my house was rewired before i bought it, some double tapped circuit breakers were there. I removed those but I'm not confident the wiring it great (might be unrelated to my problem but who knows)...
