Apartment with no cold air returns

I live in an apt in Oklahoma, while I love my air conditioning, I have no cold air returns, except for one massive one in front of the false floor where the furnace is installed. Obviously, you can't put air in a room without getting it out, at least not easily, and when I work 9 hours a day from home with my office door closed, the temps in my office soar to 85 or more. Any suggestions on how I can help with that? I have a window, usually I Crack it about 2 inches. The door doesn't have much space underneath, and the other biggest issue is noise. I could probably cut a hole in the door and install a vent, but that does nothing for noise (with the occasional screech from my 2 year old nephew, that won't work). I did try a couple of crackpot ideas, such as using a small squirrel cage blower I had and attaching it to the register, knowing it would likely have no impact and I was right. Or I did it wrong.

Any ideas? I am tired of sitting in a pool of sweat while I work.
