Concord?

I have a small business, own the building, and I just dropped one of the units at my shop(pawnshop), and my downstairs unit at home just crapped out as well. In Houston, TX btw.

I have a contractor that has been gold for me. Just a great guy. Heard I needed help and said he does AC as well. Said he can get great deals on Concord units. Never heard of them myself, quick googling says they are a sub brand of Lennox, made in Mexico.

Anyone have experience with the brand?

Ive done huge favors for the guy, and him for me. He is saying he will do the labor for free, and pass on his cost. So with this opportunity Im thinking I should replace both units and maybe go for a higher seer, etc. Two stage?

Is there a law of diminishing returns on seer? This is a 15 year old 3100 sq ft stick built home. Typical Texas surburban sprawl construction.
