I see a lot of posts about help with Nest/Ecobee installs -- what's the industry sentiment towards these "intelligent" thermostats generally (not just Nest vs Ecobee vs Lyric, etc). I know some vendors are offering smart thermostats such as Lennox iComfort and Trane Comfortlink, so I'm aware they're out there, but the price differences between vendor and 3rd party is pretty wide. Do you folks see a place for these and/or do you wish vendors would do more to cater to this crowd, or does it just make your life harder?
