Have a 4 year old 5 Ton Goodman AC Unit. Notice the house wasn't cooling down so I checked the Condenser and both the fan and Compressor would turn on and everything looked fine. Went into the the attic and checked the air handler and changed the filter (it wasn't too bad). Inside Air Handler seemed to be working fine. Checked the evaporator coils and they were clean and weren't frozen or anything, no condensation or anything like that on them. But I did notice the TXV was a little frosted over. Is that normal and will it have some frost on it? or should it be completely dry?
Other than that the system comes on visually seems fine and looks to be working but the air doesn't get cold. I don't have gauges so I can't check the level of refrigerant but is it possible that it is low on such a new unit?
Thanks...
