Industrial HVAC water usage help

Hi all!

I am interning for a company in a desert like climate as a chemical engineer. Part of my task is to create a plant wide mass balance of the water usage, which equipment is using what and where we are wasting water. As far as the HVAC system goes in each of our production buildings there are either (from what I've been told) atomizers w/o recirc and evaporators w/ recirc. The lbs/hr of water requested is measured by the atomizers, and using psychrometric charts as well as humidity/ temp monitors I have been able to determine the water actually used throughout that building. With the evap style HVAC (which pours water over a porous pad which air is blown through, correct?) I am having issues getting reasonable values of water use.

Are there any resources online or equations that you can recommend to calculate the usage? I know, or can easily determine the following information: CFM of each unit Dry bulb temp and humidity for both outside and inside.

Any help is greatly appreciated! The equation I've been using to determine use for the atomizer doesn't seem to correlate well with the evaporative ones.
