PSA: Do not take shortcuts, your safety is worth more than a disputed bill

Friday I lost the tip of my pinky and have suspected nerve or ligament damage to my ring and middle finger. This happened because I thought a belt was slow enough (loose belt, was deceptive, power was off just enough residual airflow to spin blower wheel) to have my hands near it, and my shirt sleeve got grabbed somehow and pulled my hand through the motor sheave. While an unfortunate accident, there are too many techs missing parts of or whole digits. Do it the safe way first and always, life has no reload button. Your company would rather you take a little longer and get out alive, trust me.
