I apologize in advance, I don't have my model number. But I'm hoping someone has some insight. My situation is that the compressor in my heat pump's condenser unit seized. I have a work order in with my home warranty company. Supposedly, the HVAC contractor said the new condenser unit isn't compatible with my blower unit (which is from 1994), and now I have to pay $3,500 for a new blower unit because it's not actually broken and the home warranty company won't cover it. Does that sound reasonable from a company as big as Trane? Am I getting hosed here? Thanks in advance.
