Replace Entire HVAC or just install 1 ductless in bedroom

It's getting too hot to sleep and my portable Honeywell unit just isnt cutting it.

I'm considering a Mitsubishi ductless vs. replacing my entire HVAC system due to cost. I have asbestos in the ductwork, so all in for replacing HVAC and upgrading electrical panel is $20K.

For ductless, it'll be about $8k all in. I figure I can still replace my HVAC system down the line and be able to benefit from having the ability to just cool the bedroom now and in the future.

Am I thinking about this right?
