My A/C unit outside hasn't been supplying cold air, so an HVAC guy came out and checked it over. I noticed while he was working on it that for about 15-20 seconds, a cloud of gas was pouring out of it.
Normally I wouldn't have thought much about it, but after speaking to the guy, he honestly didn't sound like he knew very much (he kept taking my suggestions on where to go from there rather than supplying his own). I'm just wondering if he was releasing a bunch of refrigerant into the air and whether or not it's common to be venting gas to the atmosphere when checking an a/c unit.
