Punctured evaporator coil during humidifier install

Was cutting into my supply line to install a new aprilaire 600 and I nicked the copper U-bend of the evaporator coils. Immediately started hissing and has since nearly depleted the system of refrigerant. My ac unit outside the house says it is using r22 refrigerant.

Two questions:

1) The system still has some refrigerant in it because it is constantly hissing but very very little. How concerning is this short term? Long term?

2) What's my permanent fix? Solder the hole and recharge? How long will that hold up?
