Trying to combine heat and AC into one thermostat.

I recently had my boiler replaced and converted from oil to natural gas. My house has 2 separate thermostats. One for heat and one for AC that are located across the hall from each other.

I would like to tie them into a single Wi-Fi thermostat. I contacted an electrician however he said it would be almost impossible.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on how to make this work?
