12hr old AC on its way out. Replace with a Trane 4t?

I have a quote for a 4 ton 14 seer Trane split system installed $5500-$6000. Are Trane units still the too in the industry? I live in FL so a good AC is what I need. What is the general take on Trane in today's world?
