Layman question about the structural strength of window air conditioner cages/frames/boxes

Last year, at the end of summer, I packed away my 5000 BTU window unit in a closet at the bottom of a huge pile. For the entirety of the winter this unit had to support the weight of another 5000 BTU air conditioner and probably 100 lbs worth of other stuff on top of it. My question is: could this long term pressure have weakened the frame of my air conditioner? Will it break apart under the weight of gravity if I try to install it? Thank you.
