Lennox Elite G50UH, losing power... Any ideas?

Hi folks,

i have a Lennox Elite G50UH Gas furnace. Today while the AC on, the whole system went off. Looking at my ecobee thermostat, there is no power to it, screen is completely blank.

I checked the breaker, and tried flipping it off and on, nothing.

I pulled off the transformer and went to a local HVAC company and bought a new transformer. installed it, thermostat came back on, and everything was great..... for 5 minutes. then everything went off again.

I went back and flipped the breaker off then on, still nothing..... I left the breaker on, and about 5 minutes later, the thermostat came on, and the AC started working again, then shut off 2 minutes later. (I've since left it on, and around 45 minutes later, still no power to the Tstat).

Any ideas as to what might be wrong? I called a few places, all of which say they won't work on Lennox systems, the one place I did call can't get out here til next week, so i'm trying to see if its something stupid I can fix myself. Thank in advance for any ideas!

EDIT: Right after I posted this, it came back on again on its own. been running for around 2 minutes....i'm assuming it will go off again shortly

EDIT 2: and just after writing my first edit, it turned off again.... I think it can read my screen and is just screwing with me at this point
