hello,
I am having the main water supply to my house replaced, since it's very old galvanized pipe and is cutting off pressure. I asked the guy doing this work to give me an estimate for moving my boiler and water heater to the back of my basement (maybe 20ft), so I can finish the front part of my basement. he quoted me $7k for moving these, and that seems really high to me. he mentioned something about it being expensive due to 1" pipe.
why is this such an expensive proposition?
