Ok. So a little bit of back story first. Older guy owns many stores and for years has done his own heat and air and refrigeration. Only over the last year has he been giving me more and more repairs on his equipment until now it seems I'm doing them all. Replacement is never an option. Restrictions are super common. The wierd thing though. Every single system has a strange smell to the refrigerant. Whether it is an r22 rooftop or an r404 cooler. It is slightly sweet and sickly smelling and reminds me of proflush smell but not exactly like proflush(no idea how to explain it better). I have no idea why all of his systems smell this way. You get a good whiff of it when venting out the recovery machine. Wtf has this guy gotten into his systems??? There are way to many restricted up for this to be a coincidence.
