I am trying to troubleshoot an issue with my central air conditioner unit, and before I head out there to test the electrical connections I wanted to see if there were any known issues or idiosyncrasies with this particular model and if the power is not the problem, what the likely culprit may be.
The full model number is XC13-030-230-01
Assuming there is power, my next assumption is that it is the contactor, as neither the compressor nor the coil fan make any effort whatsoever when the AC should kick on. It is a split system, so I am aware I need to turn off the furnace breaker as well before I attempt this.
After testing the contactor, I am at a loss of where to go next. I can't imagine it is the Capacitor, as I would think that the fan would at least start up even if the capacitor. Though I could obviously be wrong.
Any insight?
