Mystery of the rain under my house...

Hi ya'll. We have a split unit, heat pump system. The air handler part is under our house, in a crawl space, on a concrete slab. The area that it is installed in is tall enough for me to stand up in and is around 7 feet wide by 10 feet long, with around half of that being dirt floor. Not sure how old it is - guessing installed in the last ten years - and it's ran like a champ. Always stayed nice and dry down there.

This year, it's done wonderfully again. Up until now. Live in East TN and it's been a hot (probably 92f average) and decently dry last 30 days. All through the months of April, June, and July, it's been great and it's stayed dry. But about two weeks ago, I heard a beeping coming from a water alarm that we have installed. Went down to look and there's around 1/4 inch of water puddled within 4 feet of the unit. The unit is slowly dripping, outside the unit, with condensation as is the ductwork within a 6 or 7 foot radius. I opened it up to make sure the filter was still clean and to check the blower motor and coils for dust. We had it maintenanced around 2 months ago and everything looks good and is dry on the inside - no dust or ice. It appears to be draining as normal and I checked where the water is pumped out to find a normal amount of expelled water. I replaced the air filter to make sure it wasn't clogged figuring that it might still be the issue. Also put a industrial-type fan down there to help dry it out. As of today, it's still doing the same thing. Nothing has changed in temps of the house - a constant 69 degrees - and our coolant levels were good. No air vents have been blocked. There aren't any new ways for warm air to get down there.

Nothing has changed that I'm aware except for one thing - around 3 weeks ago, a water main broke in front of our house along the road - around 25-30 feet away from our basement. It was fixed though.

House is still comfortable, but this is driving me nuts. Any ideas on what might be causing it? Any inexpensive temp fixes?

TLDR: Split unit system is condensating under house and dripping water from unit and ductwork. Has been working perfectly for years until last two weeks.
