Hey all! My wife and I bought our first house and are moving in October 1. It is an older house that uses forced heat with vents in the floor to heat the house. The previous owner just used window units to cool the house in the summer, but I am looking at getting a central air unit. Since their is already duct work installed would the HVAC installer be able to just link right into that? If so does anyone have any rough estimates on what it would cost to get just the AC unit and install it compared to having duct work ran as well. Thanks in advance for the insight!
Edit: someone from the other subreddit mentioned this: I believe as long as you can find a compressor sized to match the air handler and that is compatible, it's a simple as you say.
