for awhile we had no issues last year when a local Heating& Cooling company installed both our furnace and Nest (the nest being supplied free by signing 2 years to a fixed Gas Supply contract thru one of these Suppliers locally in Michigan)
3 months in, we noticed the blower motor (or fan.) would rapid turn on and off. and the nest was blinking a light above the logo, called Nest support and was being told the light meant it was charging it's internal battery, and the issue we saw could of been it taking too much off the 24v line that is running to the blower motor. (the rep Jokingly referred it as the "Trickle charge effect." as we mentioned when "American heating&Cooling never ran an charge line separately to the smart panel)
from may till just 3 weeks ago we had no reason for the heat (we dont have A/C installed so the nest sat there mainly as a wall clock and thermometer for the duration of the blistering heat season we had.) and now w/ temps hitting as low as 41F , we've turned the nest once again to Heat ON, for two days we had no issues but now its humming like the gas burner or w/e is running but the blower motor is Dead silent.
did we just get unlucky as shit and have faulty equipment? or did the nest in how it charged over that 24v line, somehow damage the blower?
