Smart Thermostat Question

I have a Simple Comfort Pro thermostat (connected to a heat pump) that I am debating about switching out for a smart thermostat but I'm wondering if I will be able to install it myself due to the wiring. The current wiring is as follows:

S1 - No connection

S2 - No connection

Y - Black wire

W O/B - Orange wire

G - Green wire

RC - Red wire

RH - No connection

C - White wire

I was looking at the Ecobee3 but it appears to have 2 separate wires for W and O/B, would this cause any sort of issue?
