Weil-Mclain 68 Boiler Issue

Hey everyone,

So I'm in need of some guidance with an issue my boiler is having, a little backstory first. This past Spring our boiler was tuned up and maintained by a local HVAC company, no issues were expressed by the tech and I was told it was ok to shut the boiler down for the summer. Fast forward to yesterday and when I went down to fire up the boiler I noticed leaking water from under the unit. I opened the fire cover and noticed the combustion chamber was filled with about 4 or so inches of water. Would this be something that could've happened if the water wasn't shut off to the boiler over the summer? Any steps to help identify the issue would be greatly appreciated, we have a 4 year old here in MA and it's getting too cold to be without heat.

Thank you.
