Is it possible that idiots installed my heating system?

I'm not trying to be rude or disrespectful towards the profession at all. We are all human. Lord knows I've done some pretty dumb things, F'd up and made mistakes in my life so who am I to judge. That said, looking for a general opinion --is it possible... or what is the likelihood that the two guys who installed our heating system F'd up one of the baseboard loops and sweat the baseboard feed and the return into the main feed line?

Is that possible or would that be something so blatant that only a hack/homeowner could make that mistake? I just checked three times. Unless I'm missing something, I would bet my marriage that our bathroom baseboard (forced hot water) originates and returns into the system's feed line. (Which would explain why the bathroom is always so cold.)

You'll have to accept my statements as fact. I'm looking at the boiler. A pipe comes out of the top of the boiler. There is a Taco "Air Scoop" with an expansion tank. There is an arrow on the Air Scoop pointing away from the boiler. I am assuming this is the hot water feed line. The zone valves and circulation pump are on the other side, in the section of pipes that feed into the BOTTOM of the boiler. The circulation pump housing has an arrow on it pointing down, towards the boiler. I am assuming that is the return side of the heating system. Given those assumptions to be accurate/true, I would bet my marriage that the F'n guys put both sides of the bathroom's baseboard on the feed/hot side and did not attach it to the return.

I'm over it. System was installed in 2010. Home has changed hands twice since then. Wife went to grade school with a girl who's family owns a different heating/oil company so we use them, not the company who installed the heat. I'm just looking for a rough gauge/estimate on how common or plausible something like this might be. I own a track car (hobby) and have a bit of OCD. So to me, every weld, every time I change the clutch, brakes or rebuild the engine --nothing less than perfect is acceptable so I check, recheck and then check my re-checks. Is this a "no big deal, get over it... it happens" type thing --or a "holy shit, that's malpractice and you could sue" type thing? I'm not going to sue or even name the company, I'm redoing the heating system anyway so all water under the bridge. Just looking for feedback/opinions.

Thank you.
