I have two LP Trane furnaces for my house (one for each side). The left side furnace is giving me some serious grief. I had a lot of short-cycling that ended up in a lockout code saying that it wasn't detecting a flame. So, I pulled the flame sensor and cleaned it with a wire brush. After a while, the issue came back. The flame appeared to be lazy, so I kicked up the pressure to the house a bit. The unit kept short-cycling, but never threw a lockout code. This side of the house stayed nice and warm, but the unit would cycle over and over. I put a meter on the gas line, and realized the pressure was way too high. So I brought it down to 11 inches of water column (was reading 16). The unit ran through a normal length cycle and everything was good for a few hours. Now, I'm sitting here listening to the unit short-cycle and lock out again. Any ideas on where to go from here?
