In a bit of a pickle and I wanted trying to get some insight. Chilled water loop that at one point had glycol in it some years ago but currently has zip. I am being told that adding glycol to a system that has not been treated and maintained can cause any pipe corrosion to break lose and or potentially cause leaks. Any validity to this?
Right now the plan is to flush the entire system and treat with an inhibited glycol solution to about 30%.
