Had our HVAC guy come in to install all hvac for new construction house. He said we need these bathroom vent fans that don't shut off, called them "Green vent fans" and said they're now required.
My electrician said he never heard of this being required, and said it's BS. I've never even heard of these before. We were planning on getting one of the basic vent fans you turn on and off with a light switch.
Anyone have any experience with these, are they becoming the new thing, or required where you are? Just seems odd that they have to be on 24/7 now. I don't see how they could make this code. I would just swap it out after inspection, but the vent alone is about $200.
