Need to refill a window a/c unit that uses R410A refrigerant [x-post r/homeimprovement]

'm new to home improvement so bear with me. Is there a DIY kit that costs around $40? All the options I have found so far on Amazon and Ebay are upwards of $80. By the way, is there an alternative refrigerant I can use?
