Hey guys, been having some issues with my outdoor unit specifically using AC (heat pump system). I know a guy in HVAC and he came over and told me my thermostat was causing the issue so I got a new one. The outdoor unit would not power on at all. Once I installed the new thermostat, it came on fine. Once it turned off though, I was not able to turn the unit on again unless I switch the breakers off and unplug the thermostat from the wall and essentially reboot everything. Any idea what might be causing this?
Side note, the copper and air handler coil freeze over after too much use, but I think that's an entirely different problem.
