I want to run a trunk from my basement to the attic, and would like to do so through a set of closets that are vertically one atop of the other.
My manual D spec'd a 16X8 trunk. However, to reduce the space lost in the closet, I am thinking of using something with similar volume, but much thinner.
If the Man D gives me a dimension, can I substitute something different as long as the overall volume is the same? Or does the Man D account for that, and a thinner space will cause more friction thus reducing my air flow?
