So AC unit Tempstar from 2010, using 410a refrigerant, stopped cooling, after service call via home warranty ,technician can't find leak in system via the pressure with nitrogen method that I see on youtube... and it's holding pressure so the leak is apparently very small technician reports and showed me on the guages. So he filled it with nitrogen and coming back tomorrow and check pressure if still holding , will put "stop leak" and charge it. Now I have read "never use stop leak agents" and I have read dont' use unless can't find leak? What is the popular opinion here. Should I suggest something or you think he probably know what he is doing... this is a tech from a larger company no a shade tree type company so I assume he knows more than me of course, and should be no less than par with competition.
