We had a new Goodman heat pump installed in 2014, (3 or 3.5 ton unit). Originally, the installer had it setup that the ON fan speed was slower than the heat/cool cycle speed, to make it quieter and also more energy efficient. But he also had it set so that during heat/cool cycles, it would run at a slower speed part of the time then ramp up to 100%. I had asked them to make the hot/cool cycle run 100% of the time, but I wanted the ON speed to be lower than 100%. They set them both to 100%.
I was just looking at the dip switch settings. Am I correct that if I change SW12 and SW13, I am only affecting the ON speed setting? IE: make SW12 on and SW13 off, then when the blower is ON, it will run 50% speed, but when the hvac is doing a heat/cool cycle it will run 100% speed.
