Options for venting an evap cooler?

Got a vacation house in the desert southwest that only has an evap cooler on the roof. Problem is we won't always be there so we need to find a way to allow the evap cooler to vent without having to be there to open a window. Its only 90 there right now and temps inside are already 85 during the day. I worry that when its 110 damage will start occurring to the inside of the house with such high temps? So far the best idea we've got is to put locking shutters on one window and leave it open when were gone with a good screen to keep insects and critters out. Any other solutions? I'm kinda shocked that vents don't exist exactly for this purpose... There is a thing called up-dux but it vents to the attic. We have cathedral ceilings with no attic so that won't work for us. Any other ideas to keep the house from melting?
