I am looking to install a natural gas garage heater. I've come across a Modine Hot Dawg 75,000 btu heater for $500. My attached garage measures 35' x 23.6', with 10'4" ceilings. The garage is has drywall and insulation (guessing Wisconsin code Rvalue). I plan on blowing insulation in the ceiling and probably installing a ceiling fan or two. My garage doors are insulated as well as my two regular access doors.
Would this heater be Overkill? I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere.
I'd like to keep the garage 40-45 degrees and be able to warm it up to comfortably work on projects.
