Basically, my new thermostat wants to know system type, equipment type, reversing valve stuff, and number of cool/compressor/heat/backup heat stages. I don't know what options to select for any of these, since I have no way of finding out anything about my unit. I know basically nothing about HVAC, and mostly I want to know if I even have to worry about any of these options.
