Control Board Destroyed Blower Motor

Hey everyone,

I'm in the midst of a fight with my home warranty company (which are notoriously scammy). I had an issue with my furnace where it would ignite, run correctly, and simply flame-out. One tech came and said I had a loose connection somewhere and that my gas valve was turned up too high (which made no sense since the system ran fine all winter).

Another tech came out and stated that I had a faulty control board. He came out two weeks later and replaced it; it't a White-Rodgers control board. A day later, as I turned on the blower-fan only, the whole house smelled like it was on fire. I turned the system off and had the tech return two days later.

The tech is telling me that the board was defective from the factory and that it was only sending 108v to the blower motor, which requires 120v; ergo, my blower motor was purportedly killed by the control board.

My question, and I'm hoping someone can help me here, is whether or not all of the other components that were connected to the control board have possibly been compromised. The control board is connected to all of the other components of the furnace, including the gas valve, inducer motor, etc. The company just wants to replace my control board and blower motor now, but I fear that a large amount of damage may have been done and they will leave me holding the bag if the rest of the furnace starts failing because of the purportedly defective control board. Is it possible the control board was factory defective or more likely that the tech wired it wrong?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
