Parents bought a fujistu mini split in I believe 2014. Have had nothing but problems with it. It wont cool at all. Just blow room temperature air.
Theyve had 4 contractors and manufacturer over and theyll fix it. Claiming low freon or a small leak. They will “fix it” and it’ll work great for a few days then back to not cooling.
I was over this morning and noticed it was blowing 76 degree air. It was on powerful and cool mode. Couldn’t get it lower even setting the remote thermostat to 64. I was thinking a sensor to the condenser might be screwed up because the outdoor unit only the fan sounded on (talking out of my ass here because im not fully sure how these work)
I went inside and turned the remote onto outdoor unit/low outdoor noise or something and within seconds I got it blowing out around 62 degrees.
What could be the issue? Or am I missing something obvious? My parents are old and know nothing about technology so asking them questions about it or the remote is useless. They just need to get it decent in there because they watch all the grandkids during the work week. They decided to get central air but everyone is booked until almost middle August and they are sick of spending hundreds of dollars for service calls that do nothing ultimately. Plus when my father talked to fujistu they basically told him off and said your on your own we don’t know why it wont stay working and hung up on him, and repeated the same thing when I tried calling to me.
Thanks!
