I live in Florida where it is usually very humid. I got a new AC and it runs great but it really dries the humidity out of the air. Its about 30% humidity on average at about 77*. Id prefer it to be about 42% humidity. I have an ecobee3 thermostat which allows adjustment of many parameters. I think my low humidity problem started when i wanted to reduce the amount of times the AC was cycling on and off per hour. It seemed to frequent for me so i set the temp variance before it turns on and off to 1 degree instead of .5. This does make it run longer and reduces the amount of cycling. Is there any way to increase humidity while still having low amount of on/off cycles? How many cycles per hour are too many and is it really that bad to cycle on and off often? Any suggestions? Thanks
