My coworker was helping me with my A/C when my valve core blew out removing the gauges. It might have been loose. I have a Carrier 410A Puron system. Are they universal across manufacturers, and can just run down to any HVAC store and pick up a replacement core? Are the valve cores different from what is used in passenger vehicle tires? We couldn't get a tire one to fit, and it's all I had in my garage at 9pm.
